Magny stepped in on late notice to upset Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC Fight Night 78 headliner on Saturday, Nov. 21, in Monterrey, Mexico, but received a 180-day suspension due to concerns over a possible broken left hand.

Eight other fighters joined him with possible six-month suspensions, including debuting featherweight Diego Sanchez.
Without a local sanctioning body in Monterrey, the UFC self-regulated the event, issuing the UFC Fight Night 78 medical suspensions via MixedMartialArts.com, the official mixed martial arts record-keeper.
